|WORLD CLASS GLIDING CHAMPIONSHIPS,|
NEW ZEALAND 2003
Kia Ora / Welcome
The countdown to the Fourth World Class Gliding Championships has begun. 1st February 2003 will see a challenging contest based at Matamata, New Zealand.
Matamata is situated in a large river valley which provides every type of lift known to Glider Pilots. February is the middle of summer and the predominant conditions centre around thermal and ridge-induced lift.
International Pilots will be challenged by the environment, but welcomed by the farming communities that sprinkle the area. Well known for their hospitality and friendliness, New Zealanders look forward to welcoming competitors to the World Competition, as well as the Pre World Competition.
