Travel Information

Airline bookings and confirmations are the responsibility of delegates.

A limited amount of accommodation at Rydges Rotorua is reserved for the conference on a first-come, first-served basis. Any overflow will be accommodated at other hotels/motels nearby in Rotorua.

Room Rate: There are two options available for rooms. Starting at $108 including GST is a large twin/double room. There are a limited number of these standard rooms available, so these will be allocated only to those who specifically request them, on a first-come first-served basis. Most rooms have a spa bath and private balcony, costing $140 including GST. These SPA-Deluxe rooms are easily large enough for a family of 4.

Extra beds are available at $20 per person.

Accommodation must be booked by 31st March. Please indicate on the registration form the dates you require accommodation, so the booking can be made for you.

Delegates are responsible for the payment of accommodation and other hotel expenses directly to the hotel.

If you have any special requirements (eg cot, extra beds, etc) please note in the accommodation section of the registration form.

Cellular Phones and Pagers

Out of consideration for the speakers and delegates we request that cellular phones are switched off, or are operated in silent mode during conference sessions.

Delegates may be contacted through Conference Registration at the hotel. Every effort will be made to ensure that urgent messages are passed to delegates immediately the current conference session ends. In addition there will be a main noticeboard for programme changes and messages for delegates.

Restaurant at the End of the Millennium Theme Dinner:

In the style of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, or any other Science Fiction or fantasy you desire, prepare yourself for a meal to end all meals (until tomorrow night, that is). The Thursday theme dinner features a sumptuous buffet with fine wines, ales, and juices, and disco music to follow.

Extra tickets for guests are available at $60 each.

Gala Conference Dinner:

Commencing with a Champagne Cocktail hour, the conference dinner on Friday evening will feature a formal dinner with fine wines and some special entertainment.

Extra tickets for guests are available at $90 each.

Children are not encouraged to attend this function.

Special Needs

If you require a diabetic or vegetarian diet, or wheelchair access, please note on the conference form so that your needs can be satisfied.
